If you look up the definition of “genius” in the dictionary, it will likely relate with being able to achieve extraordinary results out of something extraordinarily simple. Well, as far as mind-blowing results which stem from a relatively plain concept, the following video provides a paramount far higher than anything I’ve seen in a long time. As far as technology an entertainment goes, this is probably as revolutionary as the motion-sensing control scheme introduced by the Nintendo Wii entertainment system; in fact, this idea represents in many ways the other side of the motion-sensing mirror… or should I say… “window”?

The logic behind this masterful idea is referred by the creator as “head tracking”, and it’s just the opposite of what the wii does. Rather than using gestures to interact with the game environment upon the screen, head tracking has the computing capturing your point of view and changing the environment accordingly. What does this achieve, you might be wondering? Far more than you might suspect! It literally makes a regular screen turn into a window to the 3D realms! Just watch the video and keep a mental note… in a few years this technique will become standard, and that man (who I suppose has envisioned the whole thing) will become insanely wealthy.
