If you miss those golden days from your youth when you used to spend countless hours delving in the sandbox, ceaselessly experimenting with the objects around you and getting to know life, I’ve got a great advice for you: go out right this moment, take off your shoes and jump around until your cheeks blush, and get over your self-imopsed adult act. I mean, just because you’ve actually grown-up, doesn’t mean you’re actually expected to act as such *all* the time!

Now, if you just want to indulge a little experimentation in physics using your computer without getting your hands (or feet) dirty, Phun is the thing for you. This software was developed by a computer science student, with the aim of creating “a playground where people can be creative”. According to the author, Phun “can also be used as an educational tool to learn about physics concepts such as restitution and friction”. According to myself, and judging from the demonstration video up there, I think this is a lovely piece of software which can be used for pointless entertainment. So if you feel like playing, by all means go ahead and download the software, and enjoy yourself. When you’re done, go out and jump around barefooted, just for the sake of it. For optimum effect, make sure it’s raining moderately and there are several puddles you can experiment with!
