Sneaky Ninja Cat Strikes Back!

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under funny § Tagged , , , , § No Comments

There’s something about animals that’s just so amazing it will soften even the hardest of hearts. I mean, is there a human being who can help but feeling a little joy when looking at such a cute and intelligent creature as this one? I don’t want to ruin the video for you, but let’s say the present feline is arguably one of the stealthiest little pets this side of the Internet! And that’s by no means an overstatement, once you get to admire his special technique:

Enjoy your body, nurture your feelings!

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under society § Tagged , , § No Comments

If you’ll excuse me for the oxymoron, there’s something I’d like to say: We’re effectively living in a deeply shallow society. Yeah, everyone who has eyes enjoys looking at pretty things, and everyone who has a body enjoys the idea of drawing attention and desire. That’s pretty much how things work in our modern societies, and to be honest I really don’t think there’s anything wrong about it! I mean, not as long as we don’t place our looks in front of what really matters (like our feelings, for example)!

There’s really nothing wrong in trying to shape-shift our bodies to try and make them look more pleasant. So you don’t like your nose? If you can afford it, get it changed! Feel bad for being flat-brested? Simple! Treat yourself with a boob job surgery, there are many clinics out there specializing in cosmetic surgery. It’s really okay if you want to look your very best, but all the while, don’t forget there’s more to each and every one of us than meets the eye. And I’m not even going to say it’s what inside that really matters, because that’s quite obvious – or at least is should be.

My message for the new year is thus: do whatever you feel like doing, do whatever works for you. Enjoy yourself best way you can, but also do everyone a favor and try to keep your perspective fresh. And do your best to remain open to your feelings and everybody else’s… in time you’ll realize that works just like cosmetic surgery for the soul!

Batman interrogates the Joker! Confusion ensues.

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under movies § Tagged , , § No Comments

You might remember this scene from the amazing blockbuster movie “The Dark Knight”, which was arguably one of the top action movies in 2008. Well, this is the scene where the hero interrogates the bad guy while trying to get vital information off him. Actually, this is the *original* scene that was going to be featured in the movie, right until they decided to tone down on Batman’s bad-ass speech. I think it’s pretty impressive, nonetheless… although I do feel a little sorry for the Joker! I mean, you can see the guy really is trying hard to catch up on the whole interrogatory thing.

Enter 2009 to the sound of Grandfather’s clock!

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under society § Tagged , , , , , , , , § No Comments

You might have heard about it before, and I’m here to attest to such common wisdom: Time is of the essence. That’s something that becomes quite apparent today, as we get ready to embrace the new year of 2009. All across the country, all around the world, everybody is getting ready for the final countdown. Whatever your favored time-tracking device might be (digital clock, atomic clock, wristwatch), there’s a good chance you’re adjusting it in anticipation of the first seconds of the forthcoming year.

Show your lanyards that is designed unique.

Myself, I’ll be spending midnight with family, same as usual. And as far as time-tracking is concerned, we’ll be popping our bottles of champagne to the sound of the family’s ominous grandfather clock, of course! I have fond memories of many new year’s eve in my parent’s home, where the old big clock standing in the living room will officially dictate the beggining of each year, with its impressive clockwork chimes and melodies.

grandfather-clock-500

There’s something about this kind of Grandfather Clock that’s just SO incredibly cool, I can’t even wrap my mind around it. In my opinion, no living room in a family house could ever be complete without one; in fact, I must confess it’s one of the things I tend to curiously look around for, everytime I visit a home I haven’t been to. I have even thought about taking pictures of several grandfather clocks I come across, but I’m afraid that would strike people as weird. What do you think about that?

The worst New Years Party … ever!

This is that one night of the year where every single person seems determined in having a lot of fun, preferably at an amazing new year’s party. Am I right? Well, let’s just hope your party won’t turn out looking like this:

Cash Advance Loans, you last defense against going broke!

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under business § Tagged , § No Comments

Life can be a whole lot of fun, unless of course you have no money to spend. Right, so the best things in life aren’t things, and there’s no price tag to them – that’s granted. But all the while, we do live in a consummerist society, and it’s kind of hard getting by without some cash… and we all know that cash keeps fleeting, and every once in a while you’ll occasionally get a little broke. Right? Come on there’s no shame to that, and in fact I’m telling you about a little trick that might come in handy.

You see, as it turns out it’s now quite simple to get some quick cash advance loans, and even cash advance loans online; sometimes it’s just as simple as signing up with a cash advance website, and BAM! you got yourself a great cash advance loan. This is indeed quite useful, and every once in a while it might turn out to be a life saver of sorts. But come on! Don’t get yourself sunk into debt, or anything like that… just make sure to remember you’ll need to pay that money soon enough and you should be fine, though.

Mixing business with pleasure in Sarasota!

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under business § Tagged , § No Comments

I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned travelling around is one of the most entertaining activities I could possibly aspire to. This is why I’m always looking for new ways to mix business and pleasure, when it comes to travels. For example, I found this website focused on Sarasota Property investment opportunities, and I was just thinking… if I had a million to spare, I’d certainly take a year off to go around the country investing in foreclosed homes; and Sarasota seems like a place as good as any other! Maybe someone out there would like to sponsor this enterprising young man?

sarasota-3

I mean, in between great weather and such nice houses (all the while making awesome investments), it would be an amazing year! Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of investment money; if I had, trust me: I wouldn’t hesitate to take advantage of these Sarasota Florida Foreclosures and Bradenton Florida Foreclosures. After browsing around the website for just a little while and making some additional research, I’m convinced this is indeed a golden investment opportunity. Yeah, I’m aware there’s a real estate market crash going on; but as far as I’m concerned, that only means prices have reached rock low, which makes it the best time to buy!

A glimpse of 2008 in under a minute!

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under videos § Tagged , , , § No Comments

Before we get started, a disclaimer of sorts might be due: this might not the kind of video you’re expecting, with a retrospective of the top political and social events in the year 2008. Nope, if you’re into that kind of stuff just turn on the TV set and you’ll get plenty of that. The video I’m about to introduce is arguably more artistic and soothing; as you can see, this is a collage of pictures shot from the very same place during the course of the year. I think it’s quite fascinating how it shows the progression of the seasons, but I’ll let you make your own impressions. Enjoy!

Plumbers can be a whole lot of fun!

§ December 30th, 2008 § Filed under business § Tagged , , § No Comments

You want to know about fun? Fun is when you don’t get woken up at 3 AM by a burst pipe. Fun is when your home appliances work like they were originally intended to, and you don’t have to deal with clogged pipes or broken drains. Trust me, the most fun you’ll ever have is when the only Plumber you have to deal with is Mario of Super Bros. fame.

Regardless, there are times in life when you have to put fun aside in order to get things done. So next time you need a Dallas Plumber, make sure you get the best you can… so you can get back to having fun ASAP!

How entertaining can your bedroom get?

§ December 29th, 2008 § Filed under funny § Tagged , , § No Comments

There are many entertaining things you can do in your home, that’s granted: arguably even more so when it comes to your room. I mean, I was leisurely looking at these Time4Sleep beds, and soon enough these colorful thoughts dawned upon me: there’s a whole lot of fun to be had in that kind of bed! Well, taking a nap can be a lot of fun, right? And you can also read a nice book, or play some video games and watch TV. And that’s only the beggining, too! When it comes to having fun in such a notorious bed such as these ones, imagination is the limit!

king size bed

Just think about it: you can solve a rubik’s cube, or put together a puzzle; you could surf the Internet using your laptop, while enjoying the confort of your new bed. But if you really want to get entertained in your new bed, then you should definitely get some company! I mean, all of the stuff that I mentioned before you can do in a bed (such as playing videogames and such) can only get more entertaining if you’ve good some good company right? And then, when you’re tired of playing games and having old-fashioned fun in your bed and you feel like something different, it’s quite simple: then you just roll over and… get to sleep! ;) Right?

Girlfriend Vs. Computer: a little Youtube Novella!

§ December 29th, 2008 § Filed under funny § Tagged , , § No Comments

Ah… the eternal conflict between girlfriend and computer. Kind of hard steering clear from this kind of trouble, unless your girl happens to be more of a geek than you. Regardless, there are may people who will relate with the dillema which is so nicely presented in this video. Oh, and I should mention this video is actually one of those new interactive Youtube videos, where you get to choose the development of the story by clicking on the movie window when requested to do so. Try it out, I’m sure you’ll find this quite entertaining!

Looking for a Good Invitation? This is where it’s at!

§ December 29th, 2008 § Filed under society § No Comments

I don’t know about you, but I’m resolved to organize an unforgetable New Year’s Eve party, this year. And when it comes to organizing a killer party, invitations are oftentimes one of the most neglected, yet all-around important things to keep in mind. A stylish invitation can help people get in the mood for a party, besides working as a reminder there will be an actual party at the time and place of your choosing. That’s why this year I’m also choosing one of the best online providers for custom holiday invitations.

new year

Over at “Creations by Leslie”, you can look up ready-made cards focusing every kind of celebration you can possibly think of, or otherwise you can simply order your custom designs. I settled on creating something unique, of course (after all I want to throw a unique party), but just looking at the available new year’s eve cards within the website was great for inspiration.

If you’re planning your own party (new year’s eve or otherwise) and you haven’t decided where to have your invitatoins printed, this will surely make your life easier. Low prices, kind customer support and swiftness – that’s what you’ll find in this website, along with a wide range of designs. Highly recommendable!

When psychics FAIL: 2008 predictions by Sylvia Browne.

§ December 29th, 2008 § Filed under funny § Tagged , , § No Comments

Don’t you just love hearing a good foretelling of the future? Personally, I tend to pay close attention to the psychics which are usually invited by major TV stations to make a bunch of predictions on the upcoming new year. If nothing else, I enjoy watching such predictions because they’re usually, ostentaciously, utterly wrong – so it usually makes for great comedy material. If you think I’m being harsh, just watch this prediction which was cast by Sylvia Browne around a year ago… and tell me just how wrong do you think she’s got it.

Do you know what one of my favorite kinds of entertainment is? The kind that makes actual work get easier and more pleasant, to the point it’s almost (actually) entertaining! For example, I came across this suite of project management tools, and I’ve become easily impressed with its unique features.

This is the kind of software that provides so much advantage in managing time sheets and expenses, that it actually becomes kind of fun doing tasks that are usually quite boring and mind-numbing. Chances are this software will provide you will all the help you need managing your projects! But don’t just take my word for it; go ahead and check it our for yourself.

The amazing show of 2008 past!

§ December 29th, 2008 § Filed under cartoons § Tagged , , § No Comments

Oh, the humanity! How we eagerly embrace each new year, with its vast hopes and possibilities… yet, all the while, how we utterly wreck each passing year with so many wars, crisis and widespread disgrace. I suppose that’s just the way of life, and furthermore it should be kept in mind that as long as we mantain perspective, there’s always good and bad things to every year. Well, now that 2009 is just around the corner, maybe the time is due for some reflection on what went wrong this year, and what should go right in the next one.

Learn how to entertain your customers – flash USB style!

§ December 29th, 2008 § Filed under business § Tagged , , § No Comments

Have you noticed how the best advertisements easily pass off as entertainment? In the fast-paced consummerist societies we live at, people are always looking for the next shiny thing to sparkle their interest; and this is something a clever advertiser will learn using to good advantage. For example, let’s say you want to promote your latest online venture, or maybe promote yourself next to your friends and colleagues: one of the brightest ways of doing so might just be getting a bunch of wholesale USB drives.

Why? Quite simply, once you think about it! Everyone can use a spare USB drive, and most people will carry their USB sticks everywhere. So if you make a small investment in wholesale USB flash drives you’ll be getting much bang for your buck, as far as promoting your business is concerned. If you ever considered buying custom USB drives to offer your special customers, you shouldnt think twice about it, since it’s an effective way of scattering your adverts in quite a far-reaching manner.

I’ve been checking out this website specializing in promotional USB sticks, and I’m quite impressed with the wide range of products that will easily fit any budget. You can get custom USB sticks in several shapes and storage sizes (from 64MB to 8GB), all of which can be used to spread word on your business, or even to make sure your friends don’t ever forget about you. If you’ve been looking for a place to order branded USB sticks, this might be it, so make sure to check it out!

You might think that being a stay at home dad is for wussies, but I’m confident that after watching the following video, you’ll realize it’s actually quite hardcore! This is yet another impressive display of lyrical and comedic power by the awesome Jon Lajoie, who’s renowned for his versatility in performing the most unpredictable musical styles. I must say this is quite a rockin’ tune, smelly diapers and all!

A little reflection on Video Game Violence!

What is Pacman?

What is Pacman?

Ah… I must say, the irony of this picture was not lost on me! I’m wondering though, if Nintendo’s CEO actually meant what I think he meant. Whatever the case may be, Pacman is still a pretty cool game, and video game violence is still a pretty moronic issue! I think video games haters must be really sad people, since they can’t bring themselves to enjoy something so cool. Regardless, excessively violent games are ill-tasted as far as I’m concerned! I’m telling you, when I have children of my own I’ll be keeping a close watch on the kind of games they play and the kind of mentos they chew!

Holy Christmas Present, Batman!

... And a happy new year!

Poor good old Batman, the guy never has it easy, does he? I mean, not only does he have to fight crime on a daily basis and wear a cramped costume – armor, now he has to put up with this! I’m telling you, some people can really be cruel, if they put their hearts to it!

Well, I’m not sure Wonderella is that evil of a character, but she sure can be mean when she feels like doing so. In case you don’t know about her, check out the Non Adventures of Wonderella, a pretty darn cool piece of a webcomic I’ve just discovered. Enjoy!

If you’re out for a good time, make sure to check the Boosh!

§ December 3rd, 2008 § Filed under Uncategorized § No Comments

the mighty boosh cast

Today a friend of mine introduced me to a new sitcom which I found quite innovative and interesting, so I thought I’d post an episode I’ve found in google video, for your personal enjoyment. Just as word of caution, I must say this is a britcom (british situation comedy), however I’ll assure you no grains of salt are needed to go along with it. The Mighty Boosh is an intriguing piece of post-modernist entertainment which focuses on the adventures of two zoo-keeper friends who keep getting involved in the most bizarre scenarios. Watch this with an open mind, and maybe you’ll discover a new comedy flavor… one you might actually enjoy!
