The amazing daredevil railroad caT!

I was browsing along youtube, and I found this video that deeply impressed me. I mean, I don’t know if I’m impressed with how brave this cat is, or if I should feel sorry for its lack of caution. In any case, if goes without saying that it’s very much used to hanging around near speeding trains… perhaps just a little too used, I might add. I just hope it doesn’t get run over, and we keep getting further impressive videos showcasing its remarkable coolness.

Your baby also likes entertainment! Here’s how you can take him along.

If you have a baby and a dream of having an olympic gymnast child, I know something that will be helpful! You see, by using one of these baby slings, you’ll make sure your offspring gets enough flexibility that he’ll soar high through life’s most challenging landscapes. You might to watch out for the landings though, and possibly get a baby helmet to go with the sling.

Okay, stop it right there. In case you have the least shadow of doubt that I was joking right now, rest assured: I definitely was joking, right now. I mean, anyone knows this kind of moby wrap apparatus is not meant to sling babies around. Really, you should never ever sling your baby up in the air, even if you have high expectations of raising an olympic gymnast. There are far safer options that will allow to chase the aforementioned dream; and while you’re checking out such options, baby slings really provide you with a comfortable means of carrying around your infant.

See? The little rugrat looks perfectly at ease, now doesn’t she? I see so many people in the street so tired and word out from carrying their little love muffins around, that sometimes I feel like giving away some baby slings. And the funny thing about these straps is they’re actually based on traditional methods… so it’s not like it’s some kind of cutting edge technology. I wonder why more people don’t use these things.

Rejoice, oh fans of the wilderness survival tale that goes simply by the title “Lost”! As you know, you favorite series is about to enter its fifht season, and trailers for the new episodes have already started surfacing on the Internet. Ok, so this isn’t a 100% actual trailer (I really can’t bring myself to lie to you readers :-/), but it’s pretty much the next best thing. This video was put together by a cheering fan, using footage from the first four seasons of the hit show; it certainly brings about a bit of speculation concerning the creative direction for the new series, but all the while it’s a pretty fun to watch. So without further due, I bring you…

A nice average guy that goes out of his way to make charity!

§ January 21st, 2009 § Filed under society § Tagged , , , § No Comments

If you enjoy reading a good novel and helping charitable causes, I’m about to show you something that’s likely to get you excited. It’s called Nice Average Guy, and it’s a lovely true-to-life story about a common guy facing mid-life crisis. This charming narrative thrives upon the little sweet and sour moments that make life and unique experience, and the author displays a skillful ability to bring together a lively cast of characters that blend together in a lovely story which resonates deeply in the very nature of being human. If you enjoy reading smooth prose that speaks volumes about the experience of being alive, this is a book you’ll most likely enjoy reading.

Not only that, there’s other good reasons why this is a recommendable book. You see, besides making up for a lovely read, author Ned Mansour made a point of using his skills to help people in need: the totality of profits which are generated from selling this book (which is available from Amazon.com) will be donated to TrinityKids Hospice Care. So if you’re shopping around for an entertaining read and you’re always on the lookout for charitable causes you can support, this is definetily a book that will provide you with best of both worlds!

The Ravenous Time Eater: Strangest clock ever!

Time is fleeting, and mankind keeps inventing new ways of illustrating its passage. This amazing time-tracking device was endorsed by Stephen Hawkings, and I’m quite confident to say it’s one of the strangest clocks in existence. It’s called the Chronophage, or “Time Eater”, and as you’ll understand from watching the video, this is quite a conceptual apparatus… and very freaky if you ask me. I would love to see it live, since it certainly looks like an ominous gadget! If anyone has seen it, I’d very much like to read some impressions.
