The outrageous kamikaze driver: I wonder about his van insurance rates.

§ August 21st, 2009 § Filed under ideas, movies § Tagged , , § No Comments

Just a thought, buddy: get yourself a decent van insurance, will you? And if you plan to keep pulling out those kinds of stunts, you might as well get some life insurance while you’re at it! I really don’t understand what’s wrong with some people, risking their lives and vehicles like that. Sometimes I wonder if that’s bravado or just plain old stupidity. Granted, it’s an impressive move (I’m not even sure how that’s even possible), but all the while it’s just too pointlessly risky. Why would anyone take the chance of flipping their van, just to show off? Either it’s not their van, or they simply don’t care.

Lol.. okay, so I was going into cryptic mode just now. So what if that person is risking his own life? That’s just his problem, right? Well, I cannot help but wonder how much practice it must have taken before he learned how to pull off that trick… and how many cars and vans got flipped around and wrecked in the process. I’m betting that driver is subject to outrageous insurance rates, from being regarded as a “kamikaze” type of driver. Way to go, buddy! I hope the kamikaze insurance rate suits you just well! Hmpf, what am I talking about, he’s probably just a stunt driver or something like that.

Synchronicity, canon toner cartridges, and the awesome plan of making wall-sized posters!

§ August 21st, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , , § No Comments

Are you familiar with the term synchronicity, dearest reader? Such as, when events unfold in such a way that makes you wonder it was just meant to happen? Well, earlier today a friend was telling me about this company called GMSupplies that’s selling canon toner cartridges at discounted prices, and I didn’t really pay much attention, since I haven’t been using my printer much lately. The thing is that… this very afternoon, I got fixated to the idea of decorating my home with huge posters, with natural scenes and such (I think a huge tree covering one of my bedroom walls will look absolutely amazing).

Well, after doing a bit of research to consider the most practical (and least expensive) way to print out a wall-sized picture, I realized the best way to go about it would be by printing out mosaic-like pieces from my own printer using a free software I found, and just putting the pieces together on the wall. So naturally, I’ll need to get at least one extra toner, as to make sure I don’t get dry half-way through. And yes, you’ve probably figured it out by now: using the website I mentioned before, it will come out really cheap to make those enormous posters. In fact, I think I’m ordering an extra toner just in case, so… hooray for synchronicity!

The legendary off-season halloween party? You gotta see to believe!

So, what does it take to make a perfect party? I’m thinking about rounding up all of my close friends and getting down for some major end-of-summer kind of action, this weekend… and I could really use some ideas. You see, I’d very much enjoy to put together a party of the legendary kind, one of those parties that people talk about for years. However, I suppose that’s easier said than done: after standing around scratching my head for an hour or so, I decided to look up some Internet videos that might be helpful. Well, the best I could find was this thing here, and I would boldly say those guys are nearly as clueless as myself:

Well anyway, I’ve been making some calls trying to get some really good ideas, and something came up that might be interesting: an off-season Halloween party, with all kinds of halloween treats and activities. Also, it would be a surprise thing: I wouldn’t tell people to get a costume beforehand; that would be just dumb. I’m thinking about just rounding up a bunch of silly garments and all kinds of crazy accessories and piling them up in the living room, right next to the liquor. Then, just as all the guests start getting boozed up just right, I’d proclaim we would actually be having an off-season Halloween party, and ask everyone to just improvise a costume using all that stuff laying around.

Also, I’m thinking about looking up a bunch of Halloween drinking games just to keep things fun, and when everyone is getting hyped up, the real fun begins: outdoor barbecue! While the barbecue is going on, I’d give a bag of treats to each guest, and invite them to go out and lure outsiders to the party. I’m guessing at this point everyone will be sufficiently inebriated to really get sociable and help draw a major crowd. I’m telling you dear reader, it’s going to be a thing of legend! How does that sound?
