Have you ever noticed how the very modern Emo movement is actually quite similar to the Gothic movement from a few years back? I cannot help but wonder if the hard-core Gothics from yesteryear are feeling lonely and outdated. If so, I’ll boldly recommend this gothic chat as a way to make acquaintance with kindred souls with whom they can swoon in unison. Okay, so maybe I’m coming across a little prejudicious here – don’t take me wrong: I just think some of those people are a little bit too depressive, and that’s too bad. If you ask me that’s just loneliness, so once again… try and find some nice people who can relate with, alright? That’ll cheer you up for sure!

First and foremost, rest assured this is not some kind of cult… it’s more like a cultural statement that’s deep-rooted in following certain trends expressed by popular bands. Here’s an article with some in-depth info:

I see you’re worried about your son. Just try to keep in mind that teenagers always need to find something to rebel against, that’s just how it works. If you want “rescue” your kid, don’t make too much a big deal about it… if you resist his fashion choices, that will only push him further down the rebellious path.
If you really want to help him, just keep in mind it’s a phase! Actually, I have a feeling the best way to help a teenager go through this kind of rebellious act would be to actually express some interest in his cultural choices. Ask him about it, be curious, avoid being judgmental and make it casual. Don’t fret or over do it, or he’ll know what you’re trying to do.

If am so a goth in wich i am why do i not see any others such as myself around i am starting to become confused with what is goth and what is -Other catagorys of fashion?
if ur a loner goth and every one hates you you’re better of just staying where u are dosent matter if u liked by every one it matters if u like you.
Don’t be silly, my dear… goth or otherwise, there will always be people who like you for no apparent reason, and people who don’t. It’s up to you choosing where you want to focus you attention.
