If you have a trade, don’t be afraid to SHOW it: here’s a booth!

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas, society § Tagged , , § No Comments

I really love it when life treats me with one of those synchronisms… you know, when different events unfold in a way that leads to a common destination, and you feel like everything is going just the way it was meant to by some kind of universal design or whatever you’d prefer calling it. Case in point, Trade Show Displays: just earlier today, I was writing a post on my nostalgia for trade shows, and how I’d love to check out a trade show one of these days, and maybe even get my own booth… and just now, I get a call from a friend who I haven’t seen in months. Do you know what he asked me about? Yup, you’ve probably put it together by now. My friend is a craftsman, and he’s planning to participate on a trade show nearby later this month… and he contacted me to help him track down some good deals on Trade Show Booth Rentals.

This is just amazing, isn’t it? I’m really overly excited about the thought of getting back on the old trade show wagon – this time around as an actual participant, rather than a mere visitor! So, I’m putting all my research skills into finding the best Trade Show Display Company in the country, since I really want this show to be something else. My friend has told me that if everything goes well in this Trade Show, he’ll need my help to organize similar events in the future… so I’m really looking forward to come up with something amazing and unforgettable. Do you have any ideas? Feel free to let me know via comments!

A denver hotel reservation for myself and… a cartoon dinosaur?

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , , § No Comments

Do you remember this old cartoon from the 80′s? It was called “Denver, the last dinossaur”!

Ever since I watched this show as a kid, I fantasized about going to Denver. I never quite knew what I expected to find there (certainly not dinosaurs, not even as a kid), but still it’s something that always lingered in my mind. And you know what? I think I’m finally going there this weekend! I was thinking of getting a little out-of-state vacations escapade, and as fate would have it, I came across this Denver Hotel which is offering some very interesting rates. So, as a way to bridge the gap between pleasant and useful, I think I’m finally going to check Denver out.

With that in mind, I’m now doing some research on other things besides a Denver Hotel… such as tourist landmark’s, sights worth seeing in Denver, that kind of thing. If anyone of my readers is familiar with this city, I’ll very much appreciate if you give me some pointers. Also, I sure wouldn’t mind getting to know some locals, so we could actually make some arrangements towards that. Ah… Denver, the so-called art capital of the west! I think I’ll be having lots of fun in this place, and I feel I’m going to be happy over there as well. I’m really excited about this trip! I’ll make sure to keep my eyes open for dinosaurs as well!

Armored Vehicles should not be sold to people suffering from Road Rage.

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , § No Comments

Are you a nervous person? Do you often get overwhelmed with feelings of road rage, every time you drive around? Have you ever found yourself wishing that you could play a little bit of GTA in the real world? If so, I’m not sure I should encourage you to keep reading this post, not in good conscience. Okay, it’s not like you’re going to obey my command anyway, I get it! Well, onwards to the subject… I am going to tell you about Armored Vehicles. You know, the kind they use to carry around high-class executives and top-league celebrities; on the outside these cars look pretty much like any other vehicle; however lurking beneath the surface they have the power of a true Juggernaut!

Do you understand now what I meant by saying that nervous people shouldn’t know about this? I mean, these cars are virtually indestructible unless you’re faced with a rocket launcher! Can you imagine the kind of trouble you’d get into if you owned one of these cars? Every time some one as much as looked at you the wrong way, you’d just smash into their car until it was the size of a can of sardine. That’s just awful! When they first came up with the concept for an armored car, it figures they were keeping in mind the security of their customers… what they didn’t realize is how these kind of vehicles can be used as a terrific offensive weapon as well. I’m not encouraging anyone into doing anything here, but they sure look cool! If I had one of these cars, I’m not sure I’d be able to resist the temptation of bumping the puny little cars that stood in my way.

Big costumes for big people: let’s all have fun together this Halloween!

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , , § No Comments

If you’re a big fan of Halloween… and I mean BIG as in chunky, here’s something that you’ll want to check out: costumes for plus size. Oh, and no need to get embarrassed, since I’m also on the chunky side myself. In fact, that’s just the reason I’m so excited about this costume store… because usually, I really have a hard time finding a full-body costume that fits comfortably. Well, from what I’ve already seen in this website – that will no longer be a problem, this year! There’s an amazing selection of costumes available, in such diverse sizes that you’d really have to be someone who makes a sumo wrestler look thin by comparison, in order to succeed in NOT finding a nice costume that fits your extra-sized persona.

This year, I think I’ll be going for a rogue wizard custome, and I’m just having trouble deciding on the appropriate wig, from the vast offering in halloween costume wigs available from this website. Man, I always feel like a kid every Halloween! And usually I have to settle for some big old homemade costume, since it had never ocurred to me it might be a good idea looking for some over-sized costumes. I’m really happy someone showed me this website, and if you can relate with the feeling of frustration that comes from not being able to fit in a standard Haloween costume, I think you’ll he happy as well!

Remembering those nostalgic Trade Show years!

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , § No Comments

Okay, I’ll gladly admit it: I’m somewhat of a geek. And you know what? The label suits me just fine, and I feel quite comfortable using it. I have rather eclectic hobbies and I participate in quite unique events; right now, my work schedule doesn’t allow me to move as freely as I would like, but when I was younger, I kept going around the country, visiting all kind of trade shows… from comic book conventions to Lego clubs! It all came back to me while visiting this website on Trade Show Booths, and two thoughts immediately surfaced: 1) I’m really nostalgic about my trade show years, and 2) I’m really impressed with the kind of technology that’s available nowadays for people in trade shows.

It must have been a long while, since I last visited a trade show! To see all those innovative Pop Up Displays, those gigantic Truss Displays… I cannot keep myself from gasping in amazement! I really have got to find some time to visit a trade show, one of these days. On top of everything, I bet there’s an even greater offering available, and it shouldn’t be hard finding a trade show that’s aligned with my own area of expertise. Who knows, maybe I’ll even end up setting up my own booth, for a change! I never got around to doing such a thing when I was younger, but the passion for traveling and networking is still here, so… who knows?

If you’re looking for unique and trendy jewelry, think leather!

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , , § No Comments

Have you noticed the latest trend in accessories, as worn by most of our contemporary celebrities? I’m talking of course about leather jewelry, and in fact it’s no wonder there’s so many famous people who indulge this little guilty pleasure. A leather bracelet such as the one in the picture doesn’t only look really good: it also feels great on the arm! There’s something about leather that sets it apart from any other material: I’m talking of course about its unique texture and warmth-absorbing properties. Besides, recently a lot of amazing designs seem to have surfaced, and as such it’s no wonder many famous people choose leather over standard materials for jewelry, such as silver or gold.

When it comes to fashion accessories, I think this is where it’s at right now! I’m personally infatuated with some of these designs, and I should say this is probably one of the best ways of using this material. Just think about: the same amount of leather than would normally be used to make a single suitcase or a couple pairs of shoes can be used to create dozens of pieces of leather jewelry. Besides, a nice piece of leather jewelry is (at least in my opinion) much more interesting than an ostensive briefcase. If you’re looking to add a touch of class to your wardrobe, this is something you might want to consider!

My dreams of becoming a great dog trainer!

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , § No Comments

For most of us humans, dogs are seen as best friends (from an inter-species standpoint, that is); but for some, dogs are a passion and also a lifestyle. Myself included, actually! Unfortunately… I don’t have much skill as a dog trainer, but I love watching videos of people who are skilled in this art. It’s just completely mind-blowing, what can be achieved in terms of human-animal communication by someone who’s a good pet trainer. I was checking out some on-line training guides for specific breeds of dogs (including some of my favorite, such as the Chesapeake Bay Retriever and the Boston Terrier), and they make it look so easy!

After reading through the information in those guides, I almost feel like getting a dog… but that’s such a great responsability! Besides, I’m not completely confident in my ability of becoming a good dog trainer, and if I didn’t succeed in communicating with my dog… I’m pretty sure all kinds of troubles and disasters would ensue. So, for the time being I think I’ll just stick to watching dog training videos online, as well as reading some training lessons. Maybe someday I’ll feel more prepared to take up on this challenge. It will be somewhat easier if I have a bigger house with a garden by then! Besides, I can always practice my dog training skills in the meanwhile, since some of my friends have pet dogs. Maybe I should take it one step at a time and coach other people’s dogs ocasionally, before taking up on the full-blown responsability of dog ownership.

Some people just seem to have a knack to making themselves noticed, don’t they? However, I should say that’s indeed something important, especially in the competitive modern workplaces; let’s not forget though, teamwork is also very important. If you somehow manage to put forth this kind of protagonism by relying on teamwork… you’ll easily get on your journey up the corporate ladder. Check this video for some inspiration:

If you want credit card relief, you should avoid spending money you don’t have!

§ October 6th, 2009 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , , § No Comments

We all love entertainment – that goes without saying. However, there’s a serious issue related with entertainment that doesn’t often get discussed as much as it should, especially since it’s something that concerns all Americans. You see, as interesting as it might be… entertainment usually comes at a price. I mean, an actual monetary price; that’s just how it works: getting entertained comes at a price, and sometimes we have to resort to credit in order to meet such price. Well, I don’t mean to get judgmental here, but as someone who’s actively pursuing a debt free lifestyle, I must remind you of the old adage: “credit money is not free money”.

I know for a fact that many people across the USA are stuck beneath a huge pile of debts, and I also know many of such debts were the result of hasty credit card usages, and a widespread live-for-the-moment happy-go-lucky kind of feeling. The problem about subscribing to this reasoning is that it will generally get you more problems than it’s worth… sure, you feel great when you’re burning away your credit card limits and enjoying yourself doing all kinds of things. But the day always comes when you have to pay for what you’ve spent, and that’s something most of us really don’t think about when we’re having fun.

To make a long story short and tone down on the patronizing, I think it will suffice to say: if you’re desperately looking for some credit card debt relief, maybe you’ll benefit from looking over this list with the best debt relief companies. But all the while, remember: the only thing that can permanently get you out of debt is the opposite mindset to that which got you in trouble in the first place. That said, we should all avoid spending money we don’t have: that’s what credit money is, after all!
