I need somebody: not just anybody though!

§ January 23rd, 2010 § Filed under ideas § No Comments

How about your new year resolutions, dear reader? Are you sticking up to the plan? If you’re not, you should keep in mind it’s about time you do. Personally, I should say I’m doing my best to stick to those resolutions I made earlier this month.

One such resolution is concerned with dating. I decided I’ll spend as much time as possible dating with different women, so I can figure out what is the kind of woman that will make me happiest (and likewise). I will spare no efforts in this task, and I will of course be taking advantage of the modern dating websites. A man has gotta do what he can to get his perfect match!

My sight isn’t what it used to be… but I’m clumsy as ever!

§ January 22nd, 2010 § Filed under ideas § No Comments

I never thought this day would come, but I guess I was wrong. Ever since I was a kid, everyone warned me… “you spend too much time in front of the computer, so sooner or later you’ll need eyeglasses”. And I always replied “no, because LCD screens aren’t so straining on the eyes as that old screens”, or otherwise “no, because I’ve always used computers since I can remember, and my sight is just fine”, and all that sort of excuses. But you know what? Apparently I will indeed be required to get myself a set of eyeglasses.

Well… at least I only need some temporary eyeglasses to keep my sight from further deteriorating. That’s good, since I’m just too clumsy to carry around eyeglasses on me all the time. Further, I was lucky to find this website specialized on eyeglasses and frames… so I’ll be able to get some real prescription eyeglasses at a fraction of the regular price! And there are so many models to choose from, I may end up getting two set, just in case. I would almost bet I’ll somehow manage to sit on the first pair and break them in just the next couple of days. What? I said I’m clumsy and it’s true!

Anyway, if you want to know more about Zenni (the company selling these inexpensive prescription eyeglasses), make sure to check out this article! I hope it helps.

Everyone should try riding in a limo, at least once in a lifetime!

§ January 19th, 2010 § Filed under funny § No Comments

Have you ever gone for a ride in a limousine? If you haven’t, let me tell you – it’s awesome! And I should get something straight: I’m really not the kind of guy who usually indulges materialistic desires. In fact, I never fancied myself as a limousine riding kind of guy, but last weekend I was out to visit a friend who happens to be a Vancouver Limousine driver. He had agreed to pick me up at the airport, but he never mentioned he would do it in a limousine. It was and amazing surprise and it turned out really funny, the way people looked at me like I was some kind of celebrity.

Well, that’s the kind of service you get when your buddy is a Vancouver Limo driver, I guess! Truth of the matter is that I happened to get lucky, since he was waiting for some local celebrities to have dinner before he would go drive them around. Since his limo vancouver boss is actually a cool guy, he didn’t opposed to the idea of him using the limo to pick me up at the YVR. It was by far the best reception I’ve had in any travel I’ve made. I think everyone should try riding around in a limo, at least once in a lifetime!

To think that I used to collect pens as a kid….

§ January 18th, 2010 § Filed under society § No Comments

Every day I get amazed with the things I come across in the Internet. The world is changing at a quick pace, and sometimes when I think about what it was like a decade ago, the contemporary reality now seems almost alien. For example, when I was a kid back in the 80′s, one of my hobbies was collecting pens. Boy, did I love getting new pens, and did I reveled whenever I happened to find a new one. It may sound dumb, but back in the day things were a lot different, and something as simple as buying a new pen might be something exciting.

To think that nowadays, there are websites selling personalized pens at less than a dollar! It really blows my mind away. Back in my youth, I sometimes spend several dollars to buy a unique pen… and that was twenty years ago! Nowadays I could simply order all the pens I could possibly imagine for a fraction of the price. Lol, on the other hand collecting pens no longer seems like such a fun idea as it did back then. Maybe it was me who changed, or maybe it’s just a different world? Well, I don’t see many kids nowadays with those kinds of hobbies, so I guess it’s not just me.

Feeling hypochondriac? Just snap out of it and get some help!

Every now and then I get some weird symptoms and naturally I get a little carried away in my gloomy concerns. To be honest, sometimes I cannot help but wonder if I’m a bit of a hypochondriac. Earlier today I felt my nasal passages were blocked, and at first I assumed I might be getting a cold. That sounds pretty normal, right? Well, after an hour or so of doing some good old fashioned pointless obsessing, I had convinced myself I as probably suffering from sinusitis dizziness. Yeah, I was starting to feel a little dizzy, and I have some history with sinusitis… but come on! For a moment there I almost got carried away in quite a dumb and pointless train of thought.

There are many stupid things a person may do falling victim to the ebb and flow of their own mind. But going astray in hypochondriac paranoias is probably one of the stupidest. I mean, if you think something might be wrong with your health… just go and see a doctor! Don’t sit around torturing yourself with terrific scenarios of what certain symptoms might mean. Just go out and ask for a professional opinion. That’s exactly what I’m going to do tomorrow, and I’m quite happy with myself that I managed to snap out of my vicious circles of thought. If this kind of thing also happens to you, I recommend you snap out of it as well!

What makes you so passionate about cars, anyway?

§ January 18th, 2010 § Filed under ideas § No Comments

Today is one of those lazy rainy days where one doesn’t feel like doing much. Despite of the fact that yesterday was Sunday I was terribly busy all day long (oh, the joys of being a freelancer), so today I decided I have earned a day off. I’ve been mostly sitting around watching tv and browsing random websites. Most of the afternoon was spent watching car races and looking at car websites, such as autobody irvine. The funny thing about it is that I’m not even a big fan of car races, but I’m doing some research for some writing I need to get done later this week.

Don’t take me wrong, I think cars are ok and all… but let’s face it, they’re just cars. Vehicles meant to takes us from one place to another place. I really don’t get why so many people are truly passionate about engines and motorized vehicles; but I’m certainly trying to. I’m doing some research for a character that is supposed to be a major car geek, and in order to do some decent writing I must spend some time in the character’s shoes. So, is anyone out there passionate about cars? If so, feel free to try and express just what it is that you love so much about them! That will definitely be helpful.

Now, lets check out private charter jets options for your next travel.

The best scar removal cream might be right there in your pantry!

§ January 1st, 2010 § Filed under ideas § Tagged , § No Comments

Almost everyone has physical scars – some of these scars are subtle, some are obvious and ugly. If you’re looking for a scar removal cream, I think you’ll be happy to know that sometimes the best product you can use to remove scars isn’t some fancy and expensive cream, but rather natural products you may find in your pantry or grocery. How does that sound? Pretty good, I expect. I know there are many people out there who are deeply ashamed of their scars, so this information may be just what you need to reclaim a healthy skin.

As far as a scar treatment cream goes, I should say there are products such as honey, cucumber, aloe vera and lemon juice that may bring about impressive results! The only tricky part is knowing which products are best suited for each type of scars. You don’t treat a burn scar the same way you treat a stretch mark, and you don’t treat acne scars using the same methods you use for treating other types of facial scars.

Once you know the right product for your type of scar, you’ll get best chances of fading scars than using any scar removal cream available on the market! Of course, you should also know about some complimentary techniques and recommended changes to your diet… if you’re curious read these articles on removing scars.
