Have you ever gone for a ride in a limousine? If you haven’t, let me tell you – it’s awesome! And I should get something straight: I’m really not the kind of guy who usually indulges materialistic desires. In fact, I never fancied myself as a limousine riding kind of guy, but last weekend I was out to visit a friend who happens to be a Vancouver Limousine driver. He had agreed to pick me up at the airport, but he never mentioned he would do it in a limousine. It was and amazing surprise and it turned out really funny, the way people looked at me like I was some kind of celebrity.

Well, that’s the kind of service you get when your buddy is a Vancouver Limo driver, I guess! Truth of the matter is that I happened to get lucky, since he was waiting for some local celebrities to have dinner before he would go drive them around. Since his limo vancouver boss is actually a cool guy, he didn’t opposed to the idea of him using the limo to pick me up at the YVR. It was by far the best reception I’ve had in any travel I’ve made. I think everyone should try riding around in a limo, at least once in a lifetime!

I’ve just about had it! My girlfriend keeps making fun of me because I have what she refers to as a “Guy’s Kitchen”, and I’ve decided to take action. And no, I’m not breaking up with her (are you nuts?)… I’m just getting myself some proper dinnerware. It doesn’t cost that much money, and I must admit it’s a good idea… I mean, more than once I’ve served my dinner guests food on cereal bowls. Not only that is rude, but kind of lame as well. But you know how things roll, when it’s about dealing with close guy friends; quite often those kind of technicalities are really not part of the male protocol; right?

Well, for the sake of my female visits, as well as for keeping a positive reputation for myself AND making sure I don’t come across as that much of a white trash kind of guy, this is the day I take action. I won’t of course be renewing my kitchen (I actually wish I could, but I’m strapped for cash), but I will indeed be getting myself some decent dinnerware! And I will be very careful not to break it, which is something I’m really prone to doing, every time I do the dishes. Do you hear me, world? This is a whole new and improved me, that’s addressing you!

The good thing about tattoos? They let you express your personality, and wear your ideas, alegiances or afections on your skin for everyone to see. The bad thing about tattoos? People tend to change personality over time, and tattoos really don’t change that much. Well, except when your skin starts flapping up and they start looking worn and disfigured. Let’s face it, getting a tattoo is just one of those things that usually starts feeling like an awesome idea / personal statement / turning point… and eventually it becomes an ugly nuissance. That’s actually the reason why I have never decided to get a tattoo in the first place. Because I’ll well aware I’d get tired of it eventually.

Surely, nowadays tattoos are no longer “permanent” permanent. There are methods for tattoo removal which allow undoing one’s past skin-scribbling mistakes, such as this Laser Tattoo Removal San Francisco. Still, I just wish some people out there would start thinking before they go out an taint their skins. Wow! I’ve seen many interesting stop-motion videos back in my day… but this one here is absolutely cutting edge! They’ve used some rather interesting techniques in making this; also it certainly doesn’t hurt that it’s a homage of sorts to the kind of 8-bit videogames I used to play when I was younger. There’s a fine line between fashion and insanity, and some people seem all to eager to cross it. Just now I was riding the subway on my way home from the shopping mall, and my eyes kept fixating on two teenage girls that were sitting next to me. It may sound awkward, but I just couldn’t help staring at their horrible wigs – and I mean horrible as in unrealistic, plastic Halloween-like wigs… from a website that does indeed specialize in Halloween costume wigs.

How do I know this? Quite simple, dear reader! Those silly girls just kept bragging about the cool website they’d found, and how they were so certain they would “for sure” set up a new urban trend. Oh, the horror. Oh, the humanity. I almost felt like intruding their horrid conversation and asking if they would like some halloween hats to go along with their ugly wigs. And why not wear a fake rubber mole, while they were at it? Now that would make a hot new trend, for sure.

I’m telling you, dear reader… when you realize American teenagers engage this kind of sordid reasoning, with their major aspiration being the transmutation of plain Halloween accessories into full-blown fashion statements; well, that’s when you realize there’s something very wrong with our society. I’m just wondering how those girls will dress up next Halloween. Maybe they will try looking like regular people, for a change? Maybe comb their hair and steam press their rugged shirts and skirts? Nah… that’s probably too bold for them!

According to many music lovers, analog music system – most notably vinyl, is still the best and most accurate way to hear a record. Well, I’m not going to argue with that, since I too am a romantic in that way; however I just found something interesting: the world’s smallest LP player. It doesn’t produce such a great sound and it’s dubbed “vinyl killer” because it does just that – wrecks your LP disc after a while… but I guess I don’t have to point out how cool it looks, right?

…. then think again! You might remember this video clip from last week, when the awesome President of the USA killed a fly that kept trying to distract him from the ongoing reasoning. Also, you may think this is all about swatting flies, but there’s much more to it. In killing the fly, Obama sent out a vital message to the enemies of the country: “now, we’ll try to reason with you, but if you keep nagging at us, you will be put down!” So if you think Obama is too bland, just pay attention to that moment before he killed that fly, and you’ll easily realize what he’s all about!

It goes without saying – how The Simpsons is one of the most interesting and long-running shows in recent history, at least as far as cartoons are concerned. With that in mind, it’s quite unlikely to take much explaining to get you acquainted with this yellow caricature for a modern american kind of family.
