The outrageous kamikaze driver: I wonder about his van insurance rates.

§ August 21st, 2009 § Filed under ideas, movies § Tagged , , § No Comments

Just a thought, buddy: get yourself a decent van insurance, will you? And if you plan to keep pulling out those kinds of stunts, you might as well get some life insurance while you’re at it! I really don’t understand what’s wrong with some people, risking their lives and vehicles like that. Sometimes I wonder if that’s bravado or just plain old stupidity. Granted, it’s an impressive move (I’m not even sure how that’s even possible), but all the while it’s just too pointlessly risky. Why would anyone take the chance of flipping their van, just to show off? Either it’s not their van, or they simply don’t care.

Lol.. okay, so I was going into cryptic mode just now. So what if that person is risking his own life? That’s just his problem, right? Well, I cannot help but wonder how much practice it must have taken before he learned how to pull off that trick… and how many cars and vans got flipped around and wrecked in the process. I’m betting that driver is subject to outrageous insurance rates, from being regarded as a “kamikaze” type of driver. Way to go, buddy! I hope the kamikaze insurance rate suits you just well! Hmpf, what am I talking about, he’s probably just a stunt driver or something like that.

All of a sudden, I’m feeling like an old man who’s lagging behind the latest technological achievements of mankind. How come no one had told me there’s already technology that allows making such awesome three-dimensional projections? I had absolutely no idea such things was possible, so needless to say I’m extremely impressed with the possibilities displayed in the following video. If you’d never heard about this sort of thing, maybe it’s best you tape your jaw before watching this – or it might just drop off in a drooling outburst. Yup, it’s just that cool! Just watch:

The strangely familiar case of Forrest Button!

§ February 1st, 2009 § Filed under movies § Tagged , , § No Comments

If you’ve watched the movie “The Strange Case of Benjamin Button”, there’s a good chance you found yourself caught up in a strange feeling of Deja Vu, right? This movie was written by Eric Roth, who also authored Forrest Gump, around 15 years ago… and apparently, the author decided it was about time to put a little spin on the good old tried and true formula that earned him an Oscar back in the day. Now, don’t get me wrong… I actually think Benjamin button is a good movie, and I really wouldn’t mind if it was an actual remake to Forrest Gump. But in truth, there’s no direct connection between both movies… except, perhaps the obvious:

Batman interrogates the Joker! Confusion ensues.

§ December 31st, 2008 § Filed under movies § Tagged , , § No Comments

You might remember this scene from the amazing blockbuster movie “The Dark Knight”, which was arguably one of the top action movies in 2008. Well, this is the scene where the hero interrogates the bad guy while trying to get vital information off him. Actually, this is the *original* scene that was going to be featured in the movie, right until they decided to tone down on Batman’s bad-ass speech. I think it’s pretty impressive, nonetheless… although I do feel a little sorry for the Joker! I mean, you can see the guy really is trying hard to catch up on the whole interrogatory thing.
