Good news, everyone! Today I’m talking about something different… something that’s not too obviously entertaining, at least not until we put it in perspective. I’m about to discuss the wonders of product design development, and before you get yawning, just allow me to bomb you with a paraphernalia of examples alluding this subject: disposable razors, post-it notes, roomba vacuum cleaner, coca cola bottle, tea bags, video game consoles, electric cars… you see, product designers are professionals whose occupation is finding new ways of materializing innovative and useful concepts into products that improve our lifestyle. Have you ever considered that? Well, it’s true!

The power of a new product design can be outstanding, and it can make or break a business. Do you suppose coca cola would be such a popular drink if it was marketed in a regular bottle? Do you imagine the Nintendo Wii would be such a hugely successful video game system if it hadn’t been designed in such a unique fashion? Think again! When it comes to entertainment – and even when it comes to daily routine – we, the consumers, crave for innovation… the kind that’s usually provided by product designers. It’s actually funny that we’re mostly not aware of such subtleties, but I think the modern world would be much bleaker without this trade.

Have you ever been faced with a question so simple that you simply can’t get yourself to find a reply? It happened to me this morning; in sequence with a complex rant that I’m not going to dissect for the sake of not twisting your mind, a friend of mine proposed this simple challenge: “Just name one no-nonsense reason why Canada is not a better place to live than the USA right now”. I mean, this guy is a born and raised American and he just comes forth with this bizarre reasoning, and you know what’s worse? After making a little research, I still can’t find a single actual no-nonsense reason why Canada would not be a great place to live in right now. In fact, I found this video that almost convinced me the opposite might be true:

I really should time out this investigation before I decide I should actually pack my bags and cross those borders, but I feel rather compelled to keep it up. Just for curiosity’s sake, I’ve been checking out this Toronto Business Directory, and so far so good. Next up I’m going to look into this Canadian Citizenship Test and also a thing or two about the Online G1 Test, and … maybe it would be a nice idea trying some traditional Canadian food, just for the sake of it? Heck, maybe planning a little vacation in Canada wouldn’t be such a bad idea after all…

Do you know what one of my favorite kinds of entertainment is? The kind that makes actual work get easier and more pleasant, to the point it’s almost (actually) entertaining! For example, I came across this suite of project management tools, and I’ve become easily impressed with its unique features.

This is the kind of software that provides so much advantage in managing time sheets and expenses, that it actually becomes kind of fun doing tasks that are usually quite boring and mind-numbing. So, if you’ve been looking for some help managing your corporate tasks, maybe you don’t really need an assistant. Chances are this software will provide you will all the help you need managing your projects! But don’t just take my word for it; go ahead and check it our for yourself.
